Oh I know, I played PoE for a long time and I'm not in any way a rager and can certainly handle deaths on HC. That being said, any class can be built up reasonably well but again, if the lag is bad enough, and the affixes are nasty enough, you will be sending him/her to the hall of heroes. I dont know if he will get 1 hit, but it doesn't matter because everything is just dead before it can touch him. I would probably say barbarian is the best class to be tanky and still deal very good damage.
Monk can be the tankiest but monk has to work quite a bit harder than some classes to get the same damage. if you lag for 2-3 seconds and an arcane firechain comes by. Thing is, many builds rely on things like life on hit or life per resource spent, so if the spamming stops so do the heals, also. Of course I hope servers will get better but if you can't handle losing your character you should just not play HC, that's what SC is for. Please don't just say "Play what you enjoy", because I know I'd enjoy any of the classes that I listed, I'm really a sucker for effeciency and long-term planning. I don't want to die on my DH after spending a few weeks gearing it up and then just be told realistically that xx class simply wouldn't have died in that situation and could farm just/almost as well.Ĭould be my worries are totally unjust, being new I just don't know. I'm simply wondering if I wouldn't be better off shelving the DH before the inevitable happens and rolling a class that is better for soloing in the long run, thing is I like effeciency and hate being really slow yet tanky so with my limited knowledge it's hard to piece together what I should be playing really.
That said, whilst I'm really enjoying my DH being completely new to the game I find other classes have their appeal too namely WD, Crusader & Monk. Basically, I'm new to D3 and I'm currently playing a Demon Hunter, having recently reached level 70 I'm constantly reading that I'm likely to just instantly die as soon as I have some lag/a disconnect/make one simple mistake in Torment 3+ even with decent "hardcore viable" tanky gear, and if that's true I don't really want that, I play quite a lot per day so sometimes my focus won't be 100%, that's just being honest sometimes it'll be 90% ) Kind of odd topic I know, wasn't sure how to better word it.
